... in which the Fool lounges about in net cafe's to pass the time

Wow, just as I was about to start posting, something strange comes up in this cafe: the net connection broke down.

Don't ask me, I don't know how in the world that happened (for someone who's supposed to be technically apt), I was just minding my own business when suddenly, BAM! voila! no net connection. Now the personnel are going to be busy trying to repair what's wrong. I hear that they're going to either refund the time or...

Never mind. That took less than five minutes. Everything's back to normal now.

As I speak, System of a Down's album is playing in the air, the constant rumbling in my ear probably suggests that I might turn deaf anytime soon, but then, that could be just the echoing of the drums from their songs. I kinda like the slow, fast, slow, fast-fast beats that they play out in their songs. Too bad not many people like my tastes in music.

I went out to watch Shutter yesterday with Jenny. It was more of the usual Asian ghost movies they're showing these days, with plenty of Sadako scenes (or scenes that resemble "The Ring" a bit). I'm just glad that it was much, much better than the American version of "The Ring", as the latter has absolutely no terror factor for me. I was just watching it and wasn't even spooked, surprised or anything for one bit. Shutter, well, I almost jumped out of my seat twice over the course of the movie.

The main character of the movie, Tun, is a photographer. As he gets his photos from the printer, he notices that the prints from his camera are strange: there are white wisp like things obscuring a substantial part of his photos. Eventually, he comes to the conclusion that he's being haunted through his camera, and the movie takes us into his maddening journey of uncovering the truth behind his haunting. I wouldn't want to spoil the story as it pretty much explains itself. I just thought maybe it would be better with a few more fright scenes.

As a ghost story, you know for sure that the ghost is haunting Tun for a reason, and as more people get involved, the movie tries to prepare you for one thing: Past deeds may come back to haunt you. In ways you might not be able to imagine.

Hm... I didn't notice, since when did the cafe change the soundtrack from System of a Down to Creed? Bah.. It doesn't matter.

Anyway, I've finished my chore with the NSO, and can now wait peacefully for the delivery of my birth certificate by Saturday, or next week. I'll just have to leave an authorization letter for whoever I think would be receiving my stuff while I'm out. That shouldn't take too long, maybe I'll do it tomorrow. Later, I'll probably be going to pore over Trigonometry. Before or after CSI.

I've borrowed the entire season 4 from Sweet, at least I would have something to do on days when I finish my review early. I'll probably finish late again tonight, since I'll have to calculate a lot of stuff for trigonometry (I thought I escaped this stuff when I finished high school and college... sigh). And for some strange reason, I can't seem to get trigonometry too much. Maybe it has something to do with my inability to visualize. Given a certain number of angles, and sides, it sometimes takes me more than a few minutes to visualize a specific shape without paper. That, well, it might spell doom for me afterwards, but for now, maybe I can still take it.

Sweet and co, went to watch a movie today, Mr. and Mrs. Smith I believe. I ran out of funds today, otherwise I think I would've gone with them today. Maybe I'll just watch it on Saturday or next week. When time allows. Its the first comedy I'll be seeing in a long, long time. I hope its well worth it. But then... If I watch next week, that would mean I might have no funds for Batman Begins when it opens on Wednesday... Hm... decisions, decisions...

I'll probably go with the Mr. and Mrs. Smith Saturday, then Batman Begins, sometime next week. That should free up enough resources for me to do any other stuff.

My neck is killing me today. I woke up with a stiff neck (then got back to sleep turning to the opposite direction to try to ease the stiffness, no dice) and cannot turn my neck to my left. It looks pretty funny, especailly when I want to see what's happening behind me because I have to turn half of my torso, and then its pretty obvious that my neck can't go further than you can see. Its pretty hilarious really, I'm cracking up right now just trying to imagine it (of course, that sends more pain to my neck, dammit) and I can just imagine how some people would react to me. I'm lucky I can turn my head to the right, otherwise, I'd be screwed. I hope this goes tomorrow. My body has this evil tendency to retain stiff necks to torment me for days on end.

Funny that I almost forgot I did have said affliction until I made an effort to look behind me. The things you forget when you get focused...

In this case, I've been reading up on a few tips of what to do regarding deck-building. Personally, I've always known that I make really bad decks. Maybe a habit I picked it up from my brother who also makes really bad decks (back when we played Magic). In fact, I quit playing because I couldn't make a deck without using a ton of rares, and even if I did, It'd still lose. Yeah, bite me, but I really sucked back then. Today, I still suck, but at least I know that I've gotten better.

Its been raining quite often these days. I'm pretty glad that it did, but since the rain has lousy timing, I'm often stuck carrying an umbrella that I won't use because its suddenly sunny, or it rains for only a few minutes. The one time that I did risk leaving my umbrella at home, I got drenched. I'm lucky I didn't get a cold.

I got surprised by the most recent WWE news, however. It appears that WWE champion, and Smackdown superstar has been drafted into RAW. Which makes for some interesting shows over the course of the month. That would mean that he'd have to abandon his title soon, and compete in Raw for the next few weeks (I say so because I feel like they're going to take him back after the draft lottery: there just is nobody who can fill the void he'll be leaving behind, even from the Raw roster). It would also boost sales and viewing for WWE for the next few weeks, as fans keep up to date with any other surprises. At least this time, they indeed showed that "NOBODY" is exempted from the draft.

Kinda like saying nobody's really dumb or smart. Just people who learn or not.

Which means I'll have to end this soon and catch up on a lot of reading.
