... in which the Fool anticipates the new stuff he'll have when he gets home
In an alien world...
The populace was getting bored. There was nothing new to watch on their entertainment channels and seeing normal humans mutilated and killed repeatedly with no way of fighting back was getting old very fast...
With ratings dropping quickly, and with no further option, the huge yellow figure had to do the unthinkable...
He had to engage in risk himself.
And what better place to start entertainment than on Earth, where the greatest shows could be seen? Battle, havoc, desperation... All of these served to excite people, and there was nowhere else to get that much entertainment in the universe than on Earth.
Calling his allies to him, Mojo set his eyes on Earth and prepared his plan...
With a single Hound of Ahab, Mojo intended to cause enough mayhem and destruction to jumpstart the flagging ratings of his show back on his world. The Hounds promptly started to work, but in their way was a slight, bald man, with strings wrapped around his fingers.
This man twitched his fingers, and the Hounds could not find it in themselves to defy him. It was the Puppet Master, hated foe of the Fantastic Four, and he had kept Mojo's plans in check for now.
"This is but a slight setback, bald fool! Behold, you shall be the star of the Mojo Channel!!"
Mojo called in more troops, this time, he brought green Space Bears, huge stuffed bears that just rolled over everything in their sight. They intended to squash the Puppet Master while he kept the Hounds of Ahab busy, and they would have succeeded...
However, Puppet Master's distraction had worked. Other, more experienced heroes were now arriving: the first line of defense against Mojo's insane plans had arrived, and leading the charge was none other than Wolverine!!
Wolverine lunged at the Space Bears, hoping to take them out before they became a threat. Mojo expected this, and used the defenses of a small-scale Mojoworld to boost the power of the Space Bears.
What Mojo did not expect was that Sunfire, the Japanese X-man, had been hiding out all this time inside the facility and destroyed Mojoworld.
"Nice try, X-men, this time, my ratings will rocket through the roof!!! Especially when the viewers of Mojoworld finally see that the X-men have been defeated by me!!!"
The spineless yellow slug had already laid plans before his attack on the Earth, and had drafted several people to help with his cause, first, he took out his weapon of choice, allowing the X-men to choose which opponent they would rather face, the
Eternal Nemesis that was Ra's al Ghul, or the maniacal Mojo himself. The merry mutants gladly chose Mojo.
By this time, Rogue had already arrived at the scene, and slightly touched Puppet Master, gaining a little bit of the man's power to take control of other people. Within a few minutes, both the Hounds and Mojo himself found that they could do nothing against their new master's wishes, and Wolverine was free to cut up the Space Bears before they could cause more destruction than they could do.
However, Mojo would not give up, he didn't come all this way from Mojoworld just to be defeated by some silly mutants in spandex. Mojo called in one of his new recruits: the brutish Solomon Grundy!
By this time, Sunfire had already come back from destryoing Mojoworld and Arcade's Mansion and was ready to aid his comrades. He took care of the Hounds of Ahab, which allowed Puppet Master to take control of the Space Bears, for Rogue to control Mojo, and for Wolverine to offer a Pleasant Distraction to Solomon Grundy.
By this time, Mojo was running out of tricks from his sleeveless hands, and sent out Venom to harass the mutants themselves. But Mimic, came by as well to help out his former comrades, taking his cue from Rogue, and ultimately, from Puppet Master, taking control of one of the weaker willed spineless slugs that Mojo brought with him. All the muscle that Mojo had brought in from other worlds proved to be powerless against the much quicker and smarter X-men.
With the odds very much stacked against Mojo, he called on one of his surprises on the mutants: the unstoppable Juggernaut! Over 7 feet tall and all muscle, the X-men have only barely been able to keep him in check over the many times that they have fought with him.
But to tip the scales, the founder of the X-men himself came to help: Professor X, The World's Foremost Telepath. Again, Rogue and Mimic used their abilities to copy Xavier's powers, and forced the muscle brought in by Mojo to attack him instead. Juggernaut was similarly distraced, while Solomon Grundy was turned against Mojo himself by Xavier, and Mojo had no choice other than to sabotage his own plans when Mimic and Rogue used their wills on him.
With nothing left to do, Mojo was forced to admit defeat and retreated back to Mojoworld and the shame he would face upon his return...
Well, that was my dramatization of last Saturday's game between Ryan's Mojoworld deck and Mark's X-stall. It was the only one I could really remember, since it was the one game that I sat through (although I already forgot what happened after Solomon Grundy came down, hence the relatively short description of what happened then. I can't remember how both Venom and Juggernaut was stopped, and so I winged it). It was one of the better ones to dramatize as well, due to the number of times that Mojo and the X-men have fought.
I intend to make these dramatizations weekly, or as frequent as I can, so that I don't clog up bandwidth with too many pretty pictures. I will still put in quiz results and other stuff every now and then, just not as frequent as one huge picture everytime I write something new. That way, I'll be forced to excercise my creative muscles and make my brain function.
Saturday tomorrow!!!
So what's with the secondary title? I just thought it would be important to note that tomorrow, I intend to play in the pre-release tournament for The Avengers's expansion pack for the Vs. CCG. Or if my cousin allows me to, I will play. If for no other reason than to have the extended art promo cards they're handing out as participation prizes, plus the chance to win a shirt if I get a spot on the top 4 or something. Since its a pre-release, everyone would have a fairly equal chance to win something, as every participant would be forced to play Sealed (where every player will be given an equal number of unopened booster packs to make their deck with), which also increases my chances.
Again, this is very tentative as my cousin has a few conditions that must be fulfilled. First, we can only play on the first pod, which means that we'll have to leave early in order to get there early and finish early. Second, we need money to play in the tournament, and from what he said, I think this condition is iffy.
Well, I guess I'll just find out what will happent tomorrow. In either case, we have to leave the venue pretty early to attend to another matter in the afternoon, an open meet with other gamers in the residence of an acquaintance. My cousin has to run a short game for new gamers, and I'll have to assist him in handling newbies. Its one of the things that I often do when I play with him, but I'm guessing that the turnout for his game will be low enough that I can sneak away and play Exalted with other people.
Mind you, this isn't a high priority for tomorrow. Personally, I'd rather play in the pre-release tournament if it weren't so freakin' expensive... But then, it would probably be a waste of cash if I don't get a top spot so... whatever...
Review classes
I don't know what's happening to me, but I'm losing focus with my review classes. I find that I understand everything while I'm in class, but once I get home, everything just flies away... I can't remember how to use any of the useful formulae, I can't find the relationship between two variables, heck, I can barely perform basic calculus! Its so depressing that I usually just watch Discovery Channel in the hopes that the intellectual stimulation would be enough to wake my mind up...
Well, today, we had noise topics. And thankfully, I was able to retain some decent amount of information in my brain. Hopefully, I don't forget them once I get home and continue with my homework.
Super Robot Wars Alpha 3
Prompted by my brother, I passed by several stores today close to my review school to find a copy of this game. It was supposed to be released yesterday in Japan, and I was out to find a copy of it here. Thankfully, I was able to get one which means that I can play this game (barring my brother beating me to it, of course) once I get home. My brother now owes me some money which I intend to collect as soon as possible.
