... in which the Fool is stupefied by class

It could be just me, but I swear, sometimes my classes just get sillier and sillier (hence, my articles also suffer the same fate)...

I had the (mis?)fortune of attending a class where the teacher gave a free cut. However, instead of cancelling today's quiz, the teacher still asked us to proceed with what was planned.

There was really nothing wrong with giving the quiz... Except for the fact that the answers were already given before class started! I mean, what's the point of giving a quiz where everyone already knows the answer? What's the point of staying in front of the class asking questions with the answers already given earlier on? Why ask the questions even? Wouldn't it be easier if the other students just wrote down the answers that they were given earlier? I mean, it would probably be cool or fun if the other students still bothered to listen to the question as it was being delivered... Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

You couldn't even change the question in the middle of the quiz because you're pretty sure that all the other students wouldn't even be listening to you, and you'd have to give the answer either way...

I think I felt my IQ going down in that... incident.

Moving on. I managed to finish minesweeper on expert mode without setting down a single flag. That's right -- all 99 mines painstakingly avoided over the course of 277 seconds. I got an intense headache that night, trying to deal with mental and visual fatigue, but I guess it was worth it. Now if only I can lower that record...

After all, I need to beat Lassie's record of 180 seconds (without flags). One of these days, I have to practice how to uncover squares faster.

Now this may seem strange, but I'm starting to get really annoyed with Chaos Legion. I mean, its rare that I get incredibly frustrated with a game -- especially an incredibly brainless one like Chaos Legion -- but the gameplay is completely insane! I mean, you've got tons and tons of enemies rushing out to greet you as you arrive, and you have no choice but to kill them all, or destroy a specific target. I was never the type to avoid killing monsters so I always try as much as possible to eliminate scum off the screen.

However, I seem to have met my match. On the stage I'm in right now, the enemies just don't stop coming, and you're actually too weak to fight against them unless you levelled up your legions... I was planning to hold off on the experience points until later in the game, but it looks like I really have to spend them now or never finish the game. I can probably finish the stage this weekend (not the game anymore -- I learned that out the hard way), in exchange for an incredibly sore thumb. I hope its worth it though...

In the meantime, I have to prepare myself for a good stuff-all-the-maki-you-can dinner...

... in which the Fool spends a day escaping from Theology

As many people who know me already know, I hate Theology. I can be said to hate Theology with the same passion that I have for games. Really, the moment someone beside me even mentions anything about Theology, I've got half a mind to ignore that person for as long as I know him. That is how much I hate Theology...

I'm sure there are a good number of people out there who'd probably react to what I just wrote down, not that I really care. Neither will I change my view about Theology. I avoid that God-given subject like the plague.

That said, I had to attend to some couple forum/recollection thing yesterday. Or otherwise suffer 4 cuts for theology class. I was pretty sure that I was going to cut that session somewhere in the middle, I was just waiting for the perfect opportunity. When I saw that the teacher was going to show some recorded footage from this televangelical show, I immediately got up from my seat and decided to go watch a movie instead... I would have listened if it was my teacher who gave the talk, but if I had to stay on my seat to watch some other preacher talk on and on about Leadership and what-not, I'd rather get a cut and watch something more enjoyable.

Too bad my alternative wasn't exactly that nice either... I intended to watch Sinbad (as I've mentioned several times weeks ago) but the mall that I went to didn't have it showing. Besides, I didn't have enough time to watch two movies, so instead, I decided to watch only one movie -- the Medallion.

I was trying to compare it with another of Jackie's movie, the Tuxedo, but it turned out that both movies were more or less equal. I liked certain parts of the Tuxedo better than certain parts of the Medallion. I liked certain action scenes better than others. All in all, its a pretty movie, but I wouldn't exactly recommend it that much to other people.

That's it for the meantime, I have to go and leave this internet cafe that charges 1php per minute...
